Music Musings (11/08/2017)

In this weekly feature, I introduce you to foreign music.

Spanish:

Artist: Enrique Iglesias

To many English speakers Enrique will possible remind you of primary school discos and all the cheesy music that goes along with them. With hits such as ‘Hero’, it’s not surprising many people are accustomed to Enrique’s voice and his older singles. However, he remains ever popular in the Hispanic world and has released hit songs for the past few years guaranteed to make you want to dance or sing along to.

Featured song: SΓΊbeme la radio

Spanish Song: J. Balvin, Willy William – Mi Gente

Italian:

Artist: Andrea Bocelli

Andrea Bocelli is a world renowned, Italian artist. His music style is a mix between modern and classical. His songs are calming and are beautiful to listen to.

Featured song: Con Te PartirΓ²

Italian Song: Francesca Michielin – L’amore esiste

This will be the last weekly instalment of Music Musings for now. This blog is an ongoing project and at the moment it is difficult to ensure this feature is up to standard. This will only get harder when I return to work in a couple of weeks and then back to university. So, I have decided that Music Musings will become a monthly feature which will allow me to discover new artists, have a wider range of music in the posts, produce a higher quality post, and allow for other content on the blog. The first monthly instalment will be posted during September. Until then, I am hoping to post some more varied content which will shake the blog up a bit.
